Position Overview:

Zynexel is seeking dependable and professional FTTH Fiber Installation Technicians to support residential fiber installation, repair, fiber drop, troubleshooting, and fiber optic fusion splicing operations across multiple Indiana markets.

Previous FTTH experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with relevant telecommunications, cable, low-voltage, networking, electrical, technical, or field service experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Perform residential FTTH installations and service repairs
• Install and activate ONTs, gateways, routers, and Wi-Fi equipment
• Install, route, secure, and maintain residential fiber drops
• Perform fiber optic fusion splicing as required
• Prepare, clean, cleave, splice, terminate, and protect fiber
• Test optical signal levels and verify service performance
• Troubleshoot fiber, network, Wi-Fi, and activation issues
• Diagnose and resolve installation and service-related problems
• Complete work orders, documentation, and required job-site photographs accurately
• Maintain clean and professional installations
• Protect customer property and maintain an organized work area
• Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, field support, and operations
• Follow project procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Residential FTTH or fiber installation experience preferred
• Fiber optic fusion splicing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with installations, repairs, fiber drops, ONT activation, fiber testing, and troubleshooting preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments
• Functional English required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Contractor Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• White field vehicle required: cargo van, transit van, pickup truck with cap, or SUV
• FTTH installation tools
• Fiber optic fusion splicing tools and fusion splicer
• Fiber testing equipment
• Required ladders
• Smartphone with reliable mobile data
• PPE and standard field safety equipment
• Full-time availability
• Ability to complete required background check, MVR, drug screening, onboarding, and project-specific requirements

Preferred Safety Training:

OSHA 10 Construction, Ladder Safety Training, and Fall Protection Training are preferred but not required. Candidates without these certifications are encouraged to apply.

Schedule and Performance Expectations:

The regular project schedule is Monday through Friday. Additional Saturday and Sunday assignments may be available based on workload and project demand.

Technicians are expected to be at the first scheduled customer appointment and ready to begin work by 7:55 a.m.

Performance is evaluated based on punctuality, completed work orders, productivity, Quality Control results, repeat service calls, customer callbacks, documentation accuracy, required photographs, customer service, and communication with dispatch and support.

Technicians must maintain professional communication and promptly report technical issues, delays, customer concerns, or field conditions that may affect completion of assigned work.

Compensation:

Production-based compensation.

Weekly earning potential: $1,800–$3,000+

Actual earnings depend on completed production, performance, available work orders, and project demand. The stated range represents earning potential and is not a guaranteed weekly amount.

Immediate openings. Qualified technicians may begin onboarding after required documentation, screening, and project requirements have been completed.
