    We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Fuel Handler to keep our power plant running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll operate and maintain boilers, turbines, dryers, fans, pumps, motors, chemical systems, and other essential plant equipment. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that values safety, reliability, and technical excellence. 

    What You’ll Do 

    • Conduct daily equipment checks and cleaning. 
    • Maintain consistent fuel supply on the walking floor to ensure uninterrupted fuel delivery to the boilers   
    • Report any abnormalities to the CRO and record issues on the “Fuel Handler Check Sheet and Heavy Equipment Inspection sheet”. 
    • Assists the CRO through onsite inspection and operation of plant systems and gains the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the next career progression level (Auxiliary Operator).  
    • Accountable to the CRO and ultimately the Assistant Plant Manager/Plant Manager and operates within the context and prescribed limits established by management 
    • Monitors plant operation through visual inspection. 
    • Performs light maintenance activities and supports operations as necessary  
    • Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner 
    • Performs miscellaneous tasks as directed by CRO 
    • Operate all equipment in a safe and acceptable manner.  
    • Demonstrates a high performance, safety focused, and achievement-oriented, manner of working. 
    • Ensures that assigned tools, equipment, and work area are properly maintained and secured. 
    • Assists Mechanical Maintenance, I&C and Operations as required time permitting 
    • Shall use Three-Way radio communication to ensure safe and reliable operation of the unit. 
    • The fuel handler position is an entry level position; management’s expectation is that within six months after initial hire the fuel handler shall have a basic understanding and be able to explain all plant systems.

    Additional Requirements 

    • Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening; subject to random testing thereafter. 
    • Commitment to following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
