Role Mission Statement

As a Fulfillment Associate, you are a critical driver of our warehouse and logistics operations—owning the accuracy, organization, and timely execution of every order that leaves our doors. You play a direct role in delivering the high-quality, thoughtful experience Clove & Twine is known for, ensuring every detail is right and every shipment reflects our brand standards.

This role requires a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and personal accountability. You take initiative, stay organized in a fast-moving environment, and proactively solve problems as they arise. From managing inventory to executing complex fulfillment projects, you help ensure our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with excellence at every step.

Core Responsibilities

  • Picking and Packing: Accurately pick, assemble, and pack orders with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Proactively manage inventory through regular counts, reconciliation, and organization—identifying and addressing discrepancies before they become issues.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Own the end-to-end flow of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely processing, accuracy, and proper documentation.
  • Quality Control: Act as a final checkpoint for product quality—flagging issues, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and ensuring every shipment meets brand standards.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace while identifying opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
  • Project-Based Fulfillment: Support kitting projects, bulk orders, and custom client requests—prioritizing effectively and adapting to shifting timelines and needs.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues on the fly (inventory gaps, order discrepancies, shipping delays) and take initiative to resolve them independently or escalate when needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the fulfillment and account teams to ensure seamless execution, while also operating independently and taking full ownership of assigned work.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience working within a small dynamic warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics team, with hands-on experience in picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptionally detail-oriented with a track record of maintaining high accuracy in fast-paced environments.
  • Sense of Urgency & Ownership: Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment, who takes initiative, moves quickly, and follows through—without needing constant direction.
  • Inventory & Operational Skills: Strong understanding of inventory processes, organization, and accuracy; comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot problems, and make sound decisions in real time.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in ambiguity and shifting priorities, especially in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Team & Independent Work: Collaborative team player who can also operate independently and take full ownership of their work.
  • Coachability: Open to feedback, able to take direction well, and continuously improve performance.
  • Project Mindset: Able to manage multiple priorities, especially during large kitting or custom fulfillment projects.
  • Communication & Presence: Confident communicator who is willing to speak up, ask questions, and contribute ideas (not a passive contributor).
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using inventory systems and warehouse tools; quick to learn new platforms.
  • Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
