Fulfillment Production Tech

Overview:

Taurus Engineering Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Production and Fulfillment Tech to support order processing, staging, and shipment preparation for oilfield equipment and components. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, labeling, and staging parts for outbound orders, and will periodically assist with light assembly of parts and sub-components as part of the center table workflow. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technical parts, follows written procedures closely, and excels in accuracy and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and stage parts and finished goods for outbound orders in accordance with pick tickets, bills of material (BOMs), and shipping instructions.
• Perform center table operations, including sorting, kitting, labeling, and organizing parts by order, job traveler, or work order number.
• Assist with light assembly of parts and sub-components (e.g., fastening, fitting, torquing to spec, attaching tags/labels) under established SOPs and work instructions.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and revision levels against pick lists and packing slips prior to staging or shipment.
• Inspect parts for visible damage, missing components, or discrepancies and flag issues to the Supervisor or QC as needed.
• Maintain accurate transaction records in the inventory/ERP system for picks, packs, and stock moves.
• Package and prepare shipments in accordance with carrier and customer requirements, including proper protection for machined or coated parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at the center table and surrounding staging zones (5S).
• Support cycle counts and periodic physical inventory as assigned.
• Communicate with Inventory, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to resolve shortages, mispicks, or order discrepancies

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets, bills of material (BOMs), work orders/travelers, and basic engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic power tools (wrenches, torque wrenches, drivers) for light assembly tasks.
• Basic understanding of measurement tools (tape measure, calipers) sufficient to verify part dimensions when required.
• Comfort working with mechanical parts and connectors (e.g., fittings, fasteners, seals, wellhead/downhole-type components)
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., scanning parts in/out, looking up part numbers, entering transactions).
• Ability to accurately count, sort, and reconcile physical parts against system records.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in warehouse, fulfillment, kitting, or light manufacturing assembly preferred.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience a plus, but not required.
