Overview
Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager, you will orchestrate the full journey from build to box to truck. You will guide product fabrication, oversee order preparation and collation, manage packaging quality, and direct shipment processing and manifesting—all while shaping a tidy, efficient workspace and a dependable workflow.
A Day in the Life
You start by aligning the team to production schedule priorities, then scan dashboards to verify reporting accuracy. You remove bottlenecks, expedite urgent jobs to meet customer due dates, and keep stakeholders current with clear status updates. Throughout the day, you tune processes, validate metrics, and ensure the right work moves at the right time.
What You’ll Oversee
- Product fabrication, order preparation, order collation and packaging, shipment processing and manifesting
- Workflow management and organization of the fulfillment workspace
- Continued development and management of a cohesive workflow process
- Accurate, efficient, and timely movement of work through the department
- Communication of production schedule priorities across the team
- Prioritizing, facilitating, and expediting production activities to meet customer due dates
Data, Tools, and Improvement
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting tools
- Monitor collection methods, data accuracy, and reporting frequency for all metrics
- Collect and analyze data daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to measure process improvement and workflow performance against department metrics
- Drive ongoing process improvement, including workflow system development
- Recommend and develop future automated order picking systems and processes
- Benchmark and track the latest shipping systems and small-package delivery options with the intent of minimizing freight expense to GSP and our customers
Communication and Collaboration
- Develop and provide regular status updates to pertinent personnel and senior management
- Ensure positive, effective interaction between Fulfillment and other departments
- Refine, communicate, and manage department policies and procedures
Team Development
- Establish and monitor all training activities for new and existing team members
