We are seeking an Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our dedicated accounting team. In this role, you'll support a mission-driven nonprofit that provides free programs and services to New Mexicans. With 21 locations statewide and diverse federal and state funding, you'll gain valuable experience in a dynamic and growing organization.$21.00/hour, guaranteed 38 hours a week.Essential DutiesGeneral Accounting & ReconciliationMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthlyPrepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end closing entriesGenerate internal financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, job-level reporting)Track and reconcile multiple bank accountsAssist in cash flow tracking and near-term forecastingAccounts Receivable & BillingInvoice subsidiaries for services rendered by the parentMaintain Due To and Due From subledgersSupport invoicing to customers by subsidiaries as neededAccounts Payable & Vendor ManagementReconcile vendor statements and manage payment schedules for the holding companyProcess check runs and manage ACH paymentsSupport vendor payments and reconciliations for subsidiaries as neededTax and Audit SupportWork with tax preparer, parent company and subsidiary staff to provide tax schedules in support of K-1s and Form 1120 filingsPrepare supporting schedules for parent company and subsidiaries in support of the annual auditPrepare consolidating entries for financial reportingCompliance & Internal ControlsEnsure books meet GAAP standards and state/federal complianceMaintain audit-ready records for parent company and CES projectsTrack 1099 vendors and assist with year-end filings and reportingSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneRequirementsStrong attention to detail and accuracy under pressureExcellent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliation templates)Strong understanding of job costing, class/location tracking, and project billingExperience with payroll coordination and prevailing wage/timecard auditsFamiliarity with CES, union/scale-wage documentation, or certified payroll processes, is a plus.Experience managing fixed asset records including acquisition, disposition, and capitalization timingAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information such as payroll, HR and customer dataPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and see, talk and hear.
