Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Financial Analyst | Brooklyn, NY · $80K–$120K
About the Role A well-established company in the luxury furnishings and staging space is bringing its bookkeeping function in-house and looking for a detail-oriented, full-charge Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role covering the full cycle of accounts payable, receivable, payroll support, and monthly reporting, with real opportunity to grow into deeper financial analysis. You'll be the person who keeps cash flow clean and the books audit-ready, all year round.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Expense Management
Process and code all outgoing vendor payments accurately and on time across multiple payment methods (wires, ACH, checks, credit cards)
Review outgoing transactions to help prevent unauthorized spend
Collect and organize receipts from field and warehouse staff
Support monthly expense audits, flagging unnecessary subscriptions or recurring charges
Accounts Receivable & Billing
Monitor incoming deposits and maintain an accurate running tally of monthly sales
Support invoicing processes, including General Contractor requisitions and AIA billing structures
Record payments and keep CRM/system data up to date
Assist with tracking and calculating sales commissions
Payroll & Financial Reporting
Support weekly payroll processing for a mix of salaried, hourly, and contract staff
Review timecards and assist with PTO, bonus, and stipend calculations
Help prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Assist with expense comparisons and month-over-month financial analysis
Qualifications
A few years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
Comfortable managing payroll, receivables, payables, and expense tracking independently
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
