Position Overview: Physical Therapist (PT)
The Physical Therapist provides direct rehabilitation services in physical therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT). Graduates from 2003 onwards must possess either an MSPT or DPT.
- New graduates are welcome to submit their applications.
Responsibilities
- Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
- Act as a liaison with patients, families, and support departments.
- Maintain knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in post-acute care settings.
- Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Exhibit proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
- Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
- Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.
- Follow established physical therapy treatment plans for patients.
- Supervise and assess the care provided by Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and PT and PTA students.
- Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language proficiently.
