Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Canvas Beauty Bar, ensuring exceptional client experiences while optimizing systems, processes, and team performance. You will work closely with ownership to maximize efficiency, and employee engagement while maintaining the culture and high standards that define our salon. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service, team development, and operational excellence. Experience in the beauty, retail, or hospitality industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational aspects of the business.
  • Manage inventory and purchasing.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, employee training, scheduling, performance management, and HR processes.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives, email campaigns, promotions, education events, weddings, and special projects.
  • Manage salon calendars, operational communications, and administrative systems..
  • Ensure completion of daily operational tasks while maintaining accountability, organization, and a positive team culture.
  • Serve as the primary operational resource for employees, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with ownership to support the continued growth of the business.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in operations, retail, hospitality, or salon management preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience with hiring, employee development, and performance management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and employees.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Google Drive, and experience with salon software is a plus.
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
