Overview
The CAM Portal Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and evolution of scalable, secure, and maintainable full-stack applications for Client. This role requires strong expertise across software architecture, backend and frontend development, data management, cloud technologies, and event-driven systems.
The ideal candidate will help build modern solutions using .NET, C#, Angular, SQL Server, and cloud-native practices while applying architectural principles that support performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Core Responsibilities
• Design and evolve scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures using Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, DRY, KISS, and Vertical Slice Architecture.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET Core, C#, Angular, TypeScript, and REST APIs.
• Build and secure Web APIs, including authentication, authorization, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Design systems that support high availability, fault tolerance, performance, and event-driven communication.
• Implement event publishing and consumption patterns using in-process and distributed events.
• Develop data access solutions using Entity Framework Core, Dapper, and SQL Server.
• Optimize application and database performance through profiling, indexing, query tuning, and efficient architecture decisions.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and contract tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into event-driven, slice-based solutions.
• Produce technical documentation covering system architecture, design decisions, and system interactions.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Advanced experience with C# and .NET Core development, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection, middleware pipelines, and configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, including layered, hexagonal, microservices, modular monolith, and event-driven architectures.
• Practical application of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, DRY, KISS, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded contexts, aggregates, and software design patterns.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including API versioning and backward compatibility strategies.
• Expertise with SQL Server, including T-SQL, indexing, query optimization, transaction management, concurrency control, and data modeling.
• Experience using Entity Framework Core and Dapper for data access.
• Advanced Angular development skills or equivalent experience with React or Vue.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, component-based architecture, state management patterns, and integration with REST services.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, HTML5, modern CSS, responsive design, and accessible user interface development.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems, message brokers, and streaming platforms such as Azure Service Bus or Kafka.
• Understanding of event versioning, idempotency, retries, failure handling, and eventual consistency concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration fundamentals, including Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure fundamentals including scalability, load balancing, networking, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance analysis, and complex problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, code reviews, secure coding practices, and defensive programming.
• Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and issue tracking tools.
• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset throughout the software development lifecycle.
