Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Java, C#, .NET, Python, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable applications while driving modernization initiatives to AWS. This role requires expertise in microservices, serverless architecture, automation testing, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using Java, C#, Python, .NET, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
Enhance and support on-premises and internal PaaS applications while migrating workloads to AWS.
Design and implement serverless and container-based application architectures.
Build and maintain secure, scalable, and industry-standard APIs.
Design application architectures optimized for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Evaluate long-term technical impacts and make strategic architectural decisions.
Promote software engineering best practices including TDD, BDD, unit testing, integration testing, CI/CD, and test automation.
Monitor application performance, analyze trends, and implement performance improvements.
Ensure compliance with security standards and privacy regulations throughout the software development lifecycle.
Identify, reduce, and eliminate technical debt.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, communicate technical solutions, and improve engineering practices.
Lead code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational playbooks.
Analyze trade-offs between system performance, scalability, and usability.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Administer application upgrades, patches, and production releases.
Provide production support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for enterprise applications.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call production support rotation.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in Java, Full Stack, C#, .NET, or Python development.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, GitHub/GitLab, SonarQube, and JUnit.
Experience implementing TDD and BDD methodologies.
Experience with test automation tools such as WireMock, Mockito, Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, or ReadyAPI.
Experience building automated backend and API test frameworks.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins or CircleCI.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, SageMaker, and Athena.
Experience developing RESTful APIs, Microservices, and distributed systems.
Experience with relational and NoSQL/object databases.
Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as VersionOne or Agility.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and deployment experience.
Experience integrating enterprise applications while maintaining system performance and data integrity.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Experience creating automation reports using Cucumber Reports, Extent Reports, or similar tools.
Experience with OpenShift.
Working knowledge of IBM MQ.
AWS Certification.
DevOps experience with automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Experience within the airline industry.
Knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems.
