Role Overview

The client is looking for a Full Stack Developer who can build complex, production-grade web applications using React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js/Express, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Terraform.

The role is heavily focused on data-intensive UI development, backend API development, database design, AWS infrastructure, integrations, and AI-powered application features.

Key Responsibilities

1. Frontend Development

Build complex, data-heavy UI components, including:

• Editable data grids
• Gantt chart interactions
• Drag-and-drop hierarchies
• Real-time collaborative rich-text editors
• Multi-tab page layouts
• Dashboards and data visualizations

Primary technologies:

• React
• Next.js
• TypeScript
• TailwindCSS
• Radix UI / ShadCN
• TanStack React Table
• TanStack Query

2. Backend / API Development

Develop and extend the Node.js/Express API layer.

Responsibilities include:

• RESTful controllers
• Route handlers
• Service layers
• Middleware
• JWT authentication
• Proxy-based authentication patterns
• Backend business logic

3. Database Development

Design and implement PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora database changes:

• New tables
• Schema changes
• Database migrations
• Indexes
• Complex SQL queries
• Seed data
• Query optimization

AWS RDS Proxy experience is preferred.

4. Third-Party Integrations

Build integrations with enterprise platforms including:

• TeamMate+ (TM+)
• Snowflake
• Archer GRC
• Okta
• LaunchDarkly

5. AI / LLM Development

Implement AI-powered application features using LLMs.

Experience with tools such as:

• Claude Code
• Codex
• Azure OpenAI
• AWS Bedrock
• Other LLM APIs

Preferred AI experience includes:

• Prompt engineering
• Structured output parsing
• Streaming responses
• Token management

6. Configurable / Template-Driven Systems

Build systems that allow administrators to customize:

• Rules
• Layouts
• Definitions
• Workflows

without requiring code changes.

This is an important part of the role because the application needs to be configurable rather than hard-coded.

7. Reporting & Data Export

Develop reporting and export workflows supporting:

• PDF
• Excel
• Word
• Snapshot/version management

Potential libraries include:

• @react-pdf/renderer
• xlsx
• xlsx-js-style
• docx

8. AWS / Infrastructure

Maintain and extend Terraform-based AWS infrastructure.

Key AWS technologies:

• ECS Fargate
• RDS / Aurora
• RDS Proxy
• API Gateway
• IAM
• Secrets Manager
• CloudFront
• S3

Terraform responsibilities include:

• Infrastructure-as-code
• Modules
• State management
• plan/apply workflows
• Module registry

9. Python / Data Processing

Use Python for:

• Data processing
• ETL pipelines
• Snowflake integration
• Automation/scripts

Moderate Python proficiency is sufficient.

10. Security & Code Quality

Maintain production code quality and security by:

• Using ESLint
• Following TypeScript strict mode
• Resolving security vulnerabilities
• Addressing penetration-test findings
• Participating in code reviews
• Following CI/CD practices

11. Agile Collaboration

• Participate in sprint ceremonies
• Document technical decisions
