Job Description:
We're supporting a global technology organization in hiring a Backend‐focused Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise. This role sits within a cloud and platform engineering team focused on enabling secure, scalable cloud services—particularly around data, AI, and automation—for business groups across the Americas.
You will play a key role in building and supporting a GCP control plane platform used to deliver secure cloud enablement, automation, and enterprise guardrails.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance cloud platform services with a primary focus on GCP and the organization's GCP control plane platform.
- Develop internal platform tooling and automation in Golang.
- Implement Kubernetes (k8s) solutions using EKS, including cluster operations and platform extensions.
- Use Crossplane to provision, automate, and standardize cloud resources across GCP.
- Build and manage CI/CD and workflow automation using ArgoCD and Argo Workflows.
- Support secure cloud enablement, compliance-focused architectures, and enterprise guardrails.
- Troubleshoot and enhance cloud networking (VPCs, routing, load balancing, service connectivity).
- Work across Linux systems engineering and core infrastructure components.
- Contribute to architectural design, platform strategy, and CI/CD modernization.
- Collaborate with distributed teams across the globe.
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on GCP experience, including: Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery, GCS, and secure cloud enablement.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, EKS, Crossplane, and ArgoCD / Argo Workflows.
- Proficiency in Golang (primary development language).
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux, and general cloud infrastructure principles.
- Experience with Git-based workflows (Bitbucket / GitHub).
- Security-first mindset; experience working in regulated industries is a plus.
- Bonus skills: Ruby, Python, AWS.
