Akkodis is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for a Contract job with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices Architecture, along with expertise in cloud-native application development and full-stack engineering.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $76/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Full Stack Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Architect, design, develop, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, React/Angular, and AWS technologies.

• Lead technical design sessions, solution architecture discussions, backlog refinement, and engineering planning activities.

• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications and cloud-native solutions that support business-critical operations.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and distributed systems while ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Drive CI/CD maturity, DevOps best practices, automation initiatives, and deployment optimization efforts.

• Define and enforce coding standards, secure coding practices, performance guidelines, and software engineering best practices.

• Mentor development teams through code reviews, technical coaching, and architecture guidance.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business goals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience with:

• Java Development, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices Architecture.

• Strong expertise in:

• Java, Spring Framework, REST API Development, Distributed Systems, System Design, Cloud-Native Architecture

• 5+ years of experience with:

• React or Angular, Front-End Development.

• Strong experience with:

• SQL & NoSQL Databases, Event-Driven Architectures, Kafka, SNS/SQS, API Integrations

• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and XP delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency with AWS services including:

• EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM

• Experience with:

• Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS

• Expertise in:

• CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline.

• Experience with observability and monitoring platforms:

• Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana

• Relevant AWS, Java, Kubernetes, or Cloud certifications strongly preferred.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $76.00 per hour
