Title: Full Stack Engineer
Location:
Pittsburgh, PA (15258)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Rate: $65–$75/hr on W2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Onsite Requirement: 4+ Days per Week

Position Overview

We are seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development, modernization, and operational support of business-critical applications within a highly regulated financial environment. This role requires a strong hands-on engineer who can own the entire application lifecycle—from design and development through deployment, production support, resiliency, security, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Angular, APIs, Microservices, Cloud Technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and application support, along with experience driving technical initiatives and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end software development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

  • Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using Java, Angular, and modern engineering practices.

  • Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations.

  • Drive application modernization efforts, technical debt reduction, and platform improvements.

  • Ensure application resiliency, vulnerability remediation, root-cause analysis, and operational excellence.

  • Implement secure SDLC practices, code quality standards, and security controls.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment strategies.

  • Work with cloud and container platforms including Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Collaborate with product owners, business teams, operations, and architecture teams to deliver business solutions.

  • Participate in production support, incident management, change management, and audit/compliance activities.

  • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience supporting enterprise applications.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Java

    • Angular

    • Oracle

    • SQL Server

    • REST APIs

    • Microservices Architecture

    • DevOps & CI/CD

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQ.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Strong understanding of application security, IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Experience supporting both application development and production operations.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Snowflake

  • Airflow

  • dbt

  • AI/ML-enabled applications or analytics platforms

  • Data pipeline and data warehousing experience

  • Financial services or regulated industry experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
