Job Description
The Full Stack Web Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering modern web applications that support a mission-driven program in the space domain. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders in design sessions and software demonstrations, influence architectural decisions, and apply your expertise across the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders during design sessions and software demonstrations, ensuring solutions align with user needs and mission objectives.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions to influence the direction of the platform and implement long-lasting, scalable solutions that leverage current industry standards and conventions.
- Continuously explore emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in web development and DevOps, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance development processes.
- Apply skills, ingenuity, and energy across all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications, including React-based frontends and ASP.NET Web API backends integrated with MongoDB.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines written in YAML, ensuring reliable and efficient automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Create, test, and optimize Docker containerized applications and APIs, and resolve pipeline and deployment issues in containerized environments.
- Use the Ubuntu Linux Bash shell to navigate environments, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot container-related problems.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, story estimation, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, to refine requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Implement and maintain automated UI component and end-to-end integration tests using Cypress to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Manage and configure web servers and routing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support secure, scalable, and resilient application deployments.
- Apply user-centered design principles to ensure that web interfaces are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user workflows.
- Deliver complex software solutions on schedule, demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to mission success.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of experience as a full-stack web developer, contributing significantly to published JavaScript and/or ASP.NET web applications.
- At least 3 years of recent experience working in a DevOps environment, including maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
- At least 3 years of recent experience building and testing Docker containerized applications and APIs, and troubleshooting pipeline and deployment issues.
- At least 3 years of recent experience developing React-based web frontends backed by ASP.NET Web API 2 / REST services and MongoDB databases.
- Proficiency using the Ubuntu Linux Bash shell to navigate systems and troubleshoot container-related issues.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices, particularly those related to web development and DevOps.
- Experience working on Agile Scrum teams and using related project management tools such as Jira.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React.js for modern frontend development.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to implement complex software solutions and consistently meet deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master"s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience using Cypress to develop UI component tests and end-to-end integration (API) tests.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
