Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to serve as a core member of an engineering team responsible for designing and developing web services, webpages, APIs, and microservices. The role involves collaborating with product teams, engineers, designers, product owners, and business partners to support integrations, testing, deployments, and software engineering excellence.

The position requires strong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, React.js or Angular, modern databases, cloud platforms, API development, Agile practices, and test-driven development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop web services, webpages, APIs, and microservices.

• Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.

• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

• Apply software engineering best practices and maintain a high standard of software quality.

• Collaborate across product teams to reduce complexity, improve interoperability, and support key design decisions.

• Work with an iterative, Agile, and user-centric approach.

• Clearly communicate with team members and internal and external stakeholders.

• Actively participate in coding, pair programming, and code and architecture reviews.

• Collaborate effectively with technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, engineers, product owners, and business partners.

• Support technical decision-making and help resolve technical concerns.

• Develop and deploy API solutions.

• Work with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and pipelines.

• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.

• Apply Clean Code principles and design patterns, including SOLID and DDD.

• Perform refactoring and contribute to legacy code improvement.

• Use appropriate testing and code-quality tools for frontend and backend development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years of experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, and React.js or Angular.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, Architecture, and Agile Frameworks.

• 3+ years of experience with modern relational and non-relational databases.

• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines, including tools such as Tekton, Jenkins, Terraform, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, and Apigee X.

• Experience developing API solutions.

• Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners.

• Experience with Agile tools and practices, including JIRA, backlogs, iterations, and user stories.

• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles.

• Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) practices, including Pair/Mob Programming and Test-First/Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright.

• Experience with backend testing frameworks such as JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers, and Spring Boot Test.

• Proficiency with code-quality tools such as SonarQube, ESLint, Prettier, and Checkstyle.

• Understanding of Clean Code principles and design patterns, including SOLID and DDD.

• Understanding of refactoring techniques and legacy code improvement.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience.

• Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision-making in a rapidly changing environment.

• Ability to work effectively with diverse and global teams.

• Experience with cloud services and platform technologies.
