Location: New York City, NY (Onsite) | Compensation: $150,000 – $400,000 | Equity: 0.5% – 2%
About Liquid
Liquid is building a mobile-first perpetual futures trading platform, a financial product that is newly entering the United States market. The company is currently in stealth with a $40M+ valuation and is positioned to disrupt traditional futures trading through a non-custodial, mobile-native experience.
The Role
This is an early engineering hire with full ownership across product and infrastructure. The role focuses on building and scaling a high-performance trading platform across both mobile and backend systems.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship end-to-end product features across React Native mobile and Python backend systems
- Optimize performance, scalability, and system reliability in a real-time trading environment
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to deliver production features
- Improve engineering processes and contribute to overall system architecture
What We're Looking For
- Background at top quantitative or high-signal environments such as Two Sigma, Jane Street, Citadel, or equivalent
- Degree from a top computer science program such as Berkeley, Michigan, MIT, or Stanford
- 1 to 2 years of experience in full-stack development with exposure to React, React Native, Swift, and Python
- Strong understanding of debugging, testing, and production systems

- Provide GPA and transcript verification for undergraduate degree
- Must confirm willingness to work onsite in New York City
