Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Full-Time Residential Counselor to join our behavioral health residential team. This role supports residents in a structured, therapeutic environment and helps promote safety, stability, and progress toward treatment goals during the day shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support residents in daily routines and scheduled activities
Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic living environment
Observe resident behavior and report concerns to clinical staff
Assist with implementing treatment plans and behavioral interventions
Complete required documentation, logs, and shift reports
Support medication monitoring per agency policy
Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and team meetings
Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or human services preferred
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
Schedule:
Full-time
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekdays and/or weekends may be required
