Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dependable
Full-Time Residential Counselor to join our behavioral health residential team. This role supports residents in a structured, therapeutic environment and helps promote safety, stability, and progress toward treatment goals during the day shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support residents in daily routines and scheduled activities
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic living environment
- Observe resident behavior and report concerns to clinical staff
- Assist with implementing treatment plans and behavioral interventions
- Complete required documentation, logs, and shift reports
- Support medication monitoring per agency policy
- Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and team meetings
- Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or human services preferred
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Weekdays and/or weekends may be required
