We are presently accepting applications for the following position.
FULL-TIME BUS DRIVER (12 Month Position)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger and school bus endorsement
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent
- Have a minimum of two years of previous safe driving experience
- Have a minimum of three years' experience operating a school or commercial bus
- Have sufficient mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor problems and make appropriate repairs
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain passenger discipline to ensure the safety and well-being and protect against vandalism
- Demonstrate compliance with DOT physical examination and Drug and Alcohol Testing requirements prior to employment
- Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation in accordance with statute
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
- Experience working with Special Needs students
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
- Demonstrate computer literacy to be able to enter transportation information in software utilized by the district, preferred
- Must be able to perform physical work which requires frequent bending and lifting
