The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalist to join our experienced, collegial, and supportive Pediatric Hospitalist team. This full-time hospitalist position will provide inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery coverage at UT Health Tyler Hospital.
About the position:
- 10 -24 Hour shifts per month ( 10 hours in hospital/ 14 hour call at home)
- Inpatient responsibilities
- Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house coverage and support
- Identify newborns requiring a higher level of care.
- Provide routine care for healthy newborns.
- Manage common neonatal conditions, including hypoglycemia and jaundice.
- Collaborate with consulting specialists and outpatient providers.
- Teach and precept medical students and residents.
- Not expected to attend deliveries
Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship preferred but not required.
