Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)Annual Salary: $37,799-$40,091 (based on assigned program and shift)Shift Differential: Earn an additional $2.50 per hour for eligible evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.Build a Career That Makes an ImpactHampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered care to adults in our residential and community-based programs.As a DSP, you will support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), serious mental illness (SMI), and substance use disorders (SUD) while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and community involvement.Minimum QualificationsIntermediate Care Facility (ICF): One year of direct care experience working with adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness or experience working in an Intermediate Care Facility.Waiver & Day Support: One year of direct care experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental illness.Regional Supervised Housing: One year of direct care experience working with adults with serious mental illness.What You'll DoProvide hands-on direct care and support based on each individual's needs and service plan. Responsibilities may include personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, medication support, household routines, and community activities.
