Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is partnering with a respected healthcare provider in Belle Fourche, SD to hire an experienced Full Time Director of Rehabilitation (DOR). This leadership role is ideal for a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong background in rehab management and a passion for clinical excellence.
Position Overview
The Director of Rehab is responsible for overseeing all rehabilitation services, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational success. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring clinical expertise and proven management experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the rehabilitation therapy team
  • Oversee daily operations of the rehab department
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage productivity, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality assurance standards
  • Support staff development, training, and retention efforts
Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Active and unrestricted South Dakota license or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership or rehab management experience
  • Strong knowledge of rehab operations, compliance, and productivity standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred
Education and Certification Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited PT, OT, or SLP program
  • Current state licensure in respective discipline
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain
