Job Description

This position is for a Fall Semester 2027 start.

Saint Paul College seeks energetic and dedicated individuals to apply for the unlimited, full-time (1.0) Electrician Instructor position. Instructor is responsible for:

• Provide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.
• Develop and/or revise curriculum.
• Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and collegewide events.
• Maintain technical knowledge in the eld through active participation in professional development organizations and events.
• Promote and recruit programs within and outside of the College.
• Promote diversity and cultural competency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Salary Range:

Please note that the full salary range for a nine-month, academic year appointment is $43,067 - $94,542; initial salary placement for new Minnesota State College faculty is between $43,067 and $71,893 with a 2.5% wage differential, depending on academic credentials and years of creditable professional experience. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
• Four full-time (or equivalent) years of veried related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
• One year of this work experience shall be within the ve years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential eld. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential eld within the last ve years.
• State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Teaching experience with a diverse group of students.
• Teaching in a community/tech college environment.
