Amcare Pro Home Health, Palliative Care & Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse for a full-time field position serving patients in Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding communities.
Why This Position Matters
Our Licensed Vocational Nurses provide skilled, patient-centered care in the comfort of each patient’s home. This role supports patients in safely managing their conditions while maintaining their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled nursing visits in patients’ homes
- Provide nursing care according to physician orders and the established plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice
- Monitor patients’ conditions and promptly report significant changes to the supervising Registered Nurse or physician
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, safety, and care instructions
- Communicate regularly with the supervising Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary care team
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow infection-control procedures, agency policies, and applicable regulations
- Maintain a consistent full-time patient visit schedule
- Travel to patients throughout Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding areas
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- At least one year of nursing experience preferred
- Home health, hospice, or palliative care experience preferred
- WellSky/Kinnser experience is a plus
- Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area
