JOB OPPORTUNITY April 14, 2026 Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No.2 Willowfork Fire Department Location: Katy, Texas Job Title: Full-Time Firefighter /Paramedic Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2 (“District”) is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Full-Time Firefighter/ Paramedic The Willowfork Fire Department, under the guidance and support of Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2, operates out of three (3) stations staffing three (3) engines, a tower, and a Battalion Chief. We are currently staffed with seventeen (17) firefighters on duty at all times. In 2025 the department served approximately seventy-five thousand (75,000) people and responded to over two thousand, five hundred (2,500) calls for assistance. EMS service is provided by Fort Bend County EMS who staffs a medic unit at Station 1 and Station 3 with an EMS Battalion Chief located at Station 2. The Willowfork Fire Department responds as first responder to EMS calls and works alongside of EMS providing quality patient care. The department has set a goal for 2026 to start ALS first response with incentives for Paramedics. Responsibilities: The Full-Time Firefighter /Paramedic will be assigned to work twenty-four (24) hour shifts, working a 48/96 schedule. The Full-Time Firefighter /Paramedic will be responsible for responses to Fire and Emergency Medical Incidents, public education programs, pre-fire plan surveys, fire station maintenance, and fire apparatus maintenance. Benefits: Starting Wage: $22.69 per hour $70,316.31 including scheduled FLSA OT, paid bi-weekly. Average Hours/Week: Fifty-Six (56) hour work week (hourly, non-exempt), Overtime after 106 hours worked.
