Description

The Nanny Loft is seeking an experienced professional infant nanny for a full-time position with a wonderful family in Center Valley, PA.

This position is best suited for career nannies with substantial hands-on newborn and infant experience. We are looking for a dependable, proactive caregiver who is confident in managing all aspects of infant care, supporting developmental milestones, and partnering closely with parents to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Qualified candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience caring for newborns and infants (occasional childcare will not be considered).
  • Recent, verifiable experience in a private home with infants.
  • A strong understanding of infant development, feeding, sleep routines, and age-appropriate engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to building a long-term relationship with the family.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, flexible schedule based on parents’ work needs
  •  Guaranteed an average of 40 hours per week; early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends/overnights may be required with advance notice.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25–$30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Guaranteed hours
  • Additional compensation may be available and will be discussed with qualified candidates.
  • Mileage reimbursement for child-related driving

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care, ensuring the child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met
  • Maintain a consistent daily routine, including feeding and nap schedules
  • Track daily logs of feedings and naps
  • Engage in age-appropriate, developmentally enriching activities
  • Prepare fresh, healthy meals as the child grows
  • Maintain a clean, organized nursery and child-related spaces
  • Perform child-related laundry
  • Provide light household support, including kitchen tidying, dishwasher loading, and trash removal
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily activities and any concerns
  • Confident navigating the Lehigh Valley to support enriching outings, including local classes, parks, libraries, music groups, sensory activities, and social play opportunities.
  • Provide basic care for small puppy as needed

  • Experienced with newborns and infants
  • Warm, patient, dependable, and proactive
  • Strong communicator who works well with parents
  • Organized, safety-minded, and attentive to detail
  • Enjoys engaging children through developmentally appropriate activities
  • Comfortable adapting as family needs evolve
  • Dog-friendly; puppy experience is a plus

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum 3 years of childcare experience, including infant care
  • Current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification required
  • Current Mandated Reporter Training required
  • Current Car Seat Safety Training required
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Physically able to actively care for an infant, including lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Knowledge of infant safety, safe sleep practices, and child development
  • Recent physical examination within the last 12 months required
  • Must provide proof of current vaccinations as required

Certifications & Clearances

  • Successfully complete Mandated Reporter Training.
  • Successfully complete, or be willing to successfully complete, Car Seat Safety Training prior to the start date.
  • Successfully passed a background check demonstrating suitability for caring for young children without supervision.
  • Possess valid CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain or renew them as a condition of hire.
