The Richmond School District is seeking an exceptional, student-centered full-time K-8 School Counselor to join our great team. We are looking for a collaborative professional who believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, connected, and empowered to succeed academically and socially.

Our counselor is a valued member of our leadership team and plays a vital role in supporting students, families, and staff. We also have a full-time school psychologist.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the Wisconsin Comprehensive School Counseling Model and ASCA National Model.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, families, and community agencies to support student success
- Support students through transitions, attendance concerns, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Manage and support Charge-up intervention groups
- Participate in Student Services Team meetings, IEP/504 meetings, gifted and talented programming, and other collaborative problem-solving teams.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful school climate.
- Coordinate classroom guidance lessons and preventative programming in areas such as character education, conflict resolution, and career awareness.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality while complying with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Wisconsin School Counselor License (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Strong communication, positive collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from 4K through Grade 8
- Experience with PBIS, restorative practices, trauma-informed practices, or SEL programming is preferred
