Position Description
Divine Child High School, a co-educational Catholic learning community, is accepting applications immediately for a qualified full-time long-term substitute Science teacher beginning in February 2027. Courses include AP Environmental Science, Microbiology, and Chemistry.

A teacher (or substitute teacher) at Divine Child High School provides the appropriate learning atmosphere and activities designed to maximize student competencies and skills for intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth toward a successful future. The teacher has decision-making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies. The position is hired and supervised by the principal or their designee.

Essential Job Functions

Qualifications and Requirements
A bachelor's degree in science, science education, or a related field is required. Candidates must meet applicable State of Michigan requirements for long-term substitute teaching. Secondary school science teaching experience is preferred. Candidates must support the mission and values of Catholic education.
