Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Full Time- Material Handler - 2nd Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour.
The core hours are 2:30pm - 1am.

What you'll do:
This Material Handler is responsible for coordinating the flow of materials from Receiving throughout the facility across multiple product lines. The role requires strict inventory control, strong organizational skills, and a high level of self-direction. The Material Handler operates powered industrial vehicles (PIV), including order pickers and stand-up forklifts, and communicates directly with material handlers, supervisors, and team leads to ensure efficient production support.
In this function you will:
- Collect and return all cycled Kanban cards to the appropriate Material Planner
- Perform rack audits and scan racks to identify stockouts
- Support and assist in managing the Production Tower
- Partner with planners to locate missing or misplaced materials
- Utilize AS400 system to locate materials as needed
- Recognize and respond to urgent production requests with immediate action
- Provide support across other areas of the Material Handling team as needed
- Safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) and follow all safety protocols
- Conduct daily pre-use inspections of PIV equipment; report any damage or safety concerns immediately
- Consolidate partial pallets at point-of-use (POU) locations to maintain space and support material flow
- Ensure the right material is in the right location at all times
- Stock POU locations using FIFO (First In, First Out) and spike card consumption methods
- Accurately place and track overflow materials in designated storage locations
- Complete accurate inventory transactions using scanning equipment
- Manage the cycling and return of totes and pallets to Receiving for reuse
- Utilize continuous improvement (CI) practices to enhance material storage and stocking processes
- Maintain flexibility to float into other SCM team roles as needed
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, internet, and related tools)
Position Criteria:
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certifications
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds at waist, shoulder, and overhead levels; perform frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and squatting; and regularly climb up and down ladders in support of material handling and tool use, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekdays and weekends
