Job Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis across multiple departments including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis
• Prepare and process patient specimens while ensuring proper identification and specimen integrity
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Analyze laboratory results and report findings accurately and efficiently
• Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control standards
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
• Assist with troubleshooting laboratory equipment and resolving testing issues
• Support laboratory quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding laboratory results
• Contribute to efficient daily laboratory operations as a generalist across multiple testing areas

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related laboratory science field from an accredited program

Certification Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent certifying organization
• MLT (ASCP) certification 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory environment
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank testing procedures
• Experience operating automated laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate laboratory testing
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with healthcare team members
