Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced and motivated MRI Technologist Coordinator for a full-time opportunity with one of our premier healthcare partners in Newton, Kansas. This leadership role is ideal for an MRI professional who combines strong clinical expertise with the ability to oversee operations, staff coordination, and quality imaging services.
Position Overview
The MRI Technologist Coordinator will oversee daily MRI department operations while also performing advanced imaging procedures. This role ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience, while supporting and guiding MRI staff.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workflow and scheduling within the MRI department
- Perform MRI scans following physician orders and established protocols
- Supervise, train, and support MRI technologists and staff
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including MRI safety and infection control
- Maintain quality assurance and ensure optimal image quality
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and leadership teams
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with departmental planning, process improvement, and staff development
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT certification in Radiography required
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- Active Kansas state licensure (if applicable)
- BLS certification required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of MRI Technologist experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI systems, protocols, and safety procedures
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
