We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Full-Time Nanny, with a strong background in professional childcare, to provide exceptional care and support on the
West-Side of San Antonio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage actively in nurturing, teaching, and caring for children while fostering a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. Once you're on the Twinkle Toes team, you'll have access to our online scheduling system so that you can pick up extra shifts if you want, and do babysitting on nights and weekends. Twinkle Toes is fun, flexible, and you'll never be out of work.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and monitor the children's activities at all times, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide attentive, personalized care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to each child's dietary needs and preferences.
- Engage children in educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, and developmental exercises that promote learning and creativity.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties related to childcare areas.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, dressing, bathing, and nap times.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate daily updates on the child's activities, milestones, and any concerns.
- Assist with potty training and behavioral guidance using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Incorporate teaching methods suitable for early childhood development and special needs if applicable.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing appropriate care strategies, when needed.
- Transport children to and from daycare/school or extracurricular activities, as required.
Experience:- Proven professional childcare experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, nannying roles, or teaching environments.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of infant care practices including feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and developmental milestones.
- Experience caring for toddlers with skills in toddler care routines and activities that promote growth.
- Familiarity with preschool curricula or early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; or, willingness to obtain certification is expected.
- Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities confidently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience.
