Position: Full-Time Patient Care Technician, Senior
Department: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU
Location: UPMC Passavant
Shifts: 40 hours per week; typically 4 10-hour shifts; NO overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts required!
Title and rate of pay will be determined based upon individual qualifications, experience, and education. The minimum hourly starting rates for each level are as follows:

High school diploma or equivalent
One of the following:
Two years of healthcare experience
One year of healthcare experience and enrollment in a PT, OT, PA, or related healthcare program with at least one completed clinical rotation
One year of healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in a health sciences field
Successful completion of UPMC Patient Care Technician Senior training
Completion of basic information systems training
Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course with ongoing annual competency
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Completion of an annual professional contribution (assigned after hire
May transport medications between departments; limited to transport only
Licensure/Certification/Clearances:
Basic Life Support (BLS OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR within 30 days of hire
Act 34 Criminal Clearance
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
