Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/div>
  • Supporting the RN in developing and encouraging age -appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, <\/span>etc<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional <\/span>issues <\/span>and reporting concerns to staff<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance or approved discipline, as needed.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Maintain “To -go” equipment, and ensure essential items are stocked and prepared to go with the RN on duty.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Help prepare formula and the feeding setup for patients<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Refill Water dispenser (as needed), will involve carrying up to 50 pounds or more ascending stairs.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Check and document refrigerator temperature at the start of each shift.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Support RNs with charting vital signs, documenting vent check, and other charting support as needed.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide support to RN with various clinically relevant tasks for each patient, as needed.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Providing diaper changes to patients<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Sweeping and/or vacuuming including pulling out the beds from against the wall and cleaning behind each patient bed<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Sanitization of sinks, toilets, fridge, microwave, light switches, cribs, floors and rolling shelving units that have patients suction machines and pulse oximeters<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Restocking patient towers, including suction catheters, water bags, feed bags, etc.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Checking to ensure various items are in stock, and notify the House Manager when restocking is needed, including glove boxes, paper towel dispensers, etc.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Operate laundry machines (in basement), on occasion <\/span>coming into contact with <\/span>bleach.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Washing dirty patient supplies, including taking apart syringes, cleaning ventilator supplies, ensuring supplies stay with the assigned patient.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Checking weekly and monthly chore list and communicate with the next tech on shift when unable to complete due or overdue chores by the end of shift<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Take out garbage when necessary<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Other tasks as outlined in the Pediatric Critical Care House manual<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

        • 18+ and enrolled in an accredited degree program, have completed an <\/span>associates <\/span>degree, or have a license with the department of health (such as a CNA license)<\/span><\/span><\/span>  <\/span><\/span><\/span>
