Full Time PM CNA – Evening Shift

The Laurel at Vernon Hills Memory Care, located in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a dedicated and passionate CNA to provide high-quality care to the residents in our community.

Responsibilities of the CNA

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living in a manner that supports our person-centered care philosophy.
• Complete resident rounds as assigned, reporting any resident care issues to the Nurse on duty.
• Receives report from the previous shift and medication aide.
• Reads the shift-to-shift report and shower schedule for information and changes before coming on shift. Documents in the shift-to-shift report book and ADL binder before going off shift.
• Provides personal care services as outlined in the individual services plans such as assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, positioning, assist to meals, feeding, change bed linens, laundry, etc.
• Assist in daily requirements and tasks as requested.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually. 

Required Experience

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold an Illinois‑approved CNA certification.
• Maintain, or be able to obtain, current CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in Senior Living, Memory Care, Home Health, or Long‑Term Care preferred.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and move quickly when needed.
• Able to work independently and manage day‑to‑day responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
