    Position Summary

    The Regional Loan Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to our commercial lending team. This role is essential in helping loans move smoothly from application through closing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and personal service consistent with community banking values.

    Previous banking or lending experience is strongly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to commercial loan officers
    • Serve as a professional point of contact for loan customers, vendors, and internal partners
    • Track and manage loan files and documentation from approval through closing
    • Order and monitor due diligence items (appraisals, title work, credit reports, flood determinations, UCC searches, etc.)
    • Assist in clearing loan conditions in coordination with Credit Administration and Loan Support teams
    • Prepare and maintain accurate loan documentation and follow‑up items
    • Schedule loan closings and customer appointments
    • Verify collateral insurance coverage and loss‑payee status
    • Support a team‑oriented lending environment across multiple offices as needed

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured environment

    Preferred

    • Prior experience in banking, lending, or loan operations
    • Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and processes
    • Experience working directly with customers in a financial services setting
    • Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain
