Safety Technician at Marsden South
Shift: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 40 hours a week. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

Requirements:
Job Duties:
Maintain CSST (Construction Site Safety Technician) certification and apply safety standards in a chemical plant environment.
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify chemical, physical, and operational risks.
Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and chemical handling procedures.
Assist in the development, preparation, and delivery of safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training programs, including chemical safety, PPE usage, and emergency response.
Support incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective action implementation.
Ensure proper use, storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, permits, and training records using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Promote a strong safety culture by engaging with employees, contractors, and supervisors.
Respond to emergency situations such as chemical spills, exposures, or unsafe conditions and assist with evacuation or mitigation efforts.
Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while following company and site-specific procedures.
Drive a personal vehicle as required to perform job duties and site visits.
