The Goddard School of Norwood is seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic
Full-Time School Assistant to join our team! This position plays an essential role in supporting our teachers, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and helping ensure our school runs smoothly each day.

Schedule
Monday–Friday8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Full-Time
Position Responsibilities
Kitchen & Food Preparation
- Wash, prepare, and cut fresh fruit for morning and afternoon snacks
- Clean and sanitize snack bins daily
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Heat and distribute lunches during scheduled lunch times
- Complete required Food Handlers course and maintain food safety standards
School Operations & Organization
- Maintain the school supply closet
- Keep accurate records of supplies needed for ordering
- Distribute supplies to teachers as requested
- Ensure shared spaces are clean and organized
Classroom Support
- Assist in classrooms as needed
- Provide bathroom breaks for teachers
- Help relieve teachers for scheduled lunch breaks
- Support staff and students throughout the building wherever assistance is needed
Training & Compliance
- Complete all required trainings for working in a licensed childcare facility, including food handling certification
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
- Team-oriented and dependable
- Comfortable working around young children
- Prior experience in a school or childcare setting preferred (but not required)
