Salary Range: $52,156 - $85,165 based on degree and experience

Job Summary: This teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Sociology discipline.
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or online courses.
  • Teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses such as Principles of Sociology, Social Problems, Modern Relationships, Marriage and Family, Self and Society, Minority Relations, Introduction to Social Work, Criminology, and Global Cultures.
  • Maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in college service, and professional development activities.
  • Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses. Community service is encouraged.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Chief Academic Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s degree or higher required in Sociology or a related field.
  • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the community college level.
  • Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom.
  • Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
