We're currently hiring Full-Time Bank Tellers to join our community-focused Credit Union team. Whether you're starting your career or bringing previous banking, retail, or customer service experience, we provide paid training and opportunities for career growth.

We hire for branches in: Clermont, Orlando, Kissimmee, Lake Mary, Lake Nona, Maitland, and Winter Garden.

Position Type: Full Time, In-Person

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Strong computer skills required
  • Previous cash handling, customer service, retail, or sales experience is a plus
  • Previous experience in banking or credit union is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

About the Role

 

Position Purpose

Processes a range of transactions and aids members with account management. Promotes credit union products and services by identifying member needs and delivering appropriate recommendations. Cultivates strong member relationships through personalized service aligned with the credit union’s mission and core values. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Represents McCoy Federal Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner, maintains an appropriate appearance, and delivers exceptional member service.

Exercises sound judgment and integrity with trustworthiness, demonstrating accountability by following through on commitments and proactively addressing problems.

Protects member account information and upholds strict confidentiality.

Minimizes credit union losses by following proactive procedures and alerting branch management of unusual or suspicious activities.

Retains comprehensive knowledge of member service guidelines, operating procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Educates members on credit union policies and actively promotes products and services including self-service tools, mobile apps, and new emerging technologies.

Assists members with opening and closing accounts, certificates, and other credit union products and services.

Performs and authenticates transactions for personal and business accounts including deposits, loan payments, withdrawals, transfers, and other member service requests.

Processes cash advances, cashier's checks, travelers' checks, money orders, stop payment requests, and check orders for member accounts.

Verifies identification, signatures, and account balances while confirming that all required documentation and forms are accurately completed, filed, and processed.

Handles account maintenance requests, including changes to member names, addresses, and telephone numbers. Issues and replaces debit and credit cards.

Reviews documentation for negotiability and endorsements and monitors deposit amounts for accuracy and compliance.

Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly tasks including drive-up service, preparing Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Report documentation, and conducting audits for vaults, ATMs, and cash recyclers.

Supports operations by assisting with branch opening and closing procedures, balancing activities, and correcting teller discrepancies.

Manages incoming member calls, directs inquiries, records and relays messages correctly.

Completes reports and maintains all records accurately along with participating in required meetings and training sessions.

Notifies management of all branch activities, discrepancies, and other significant concerns that cannot be resolved independently.

Demonstrates effective coordination and communication with colleagues and members by providing support as needed and acknowledging feedback.

Promotes a clean, organized, and secure work environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.
