Job Summary

Cinnaminson Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-time, Tenure-track 8th Grade Science Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives for 8th-grade science.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of community.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage students and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and integrate science with other subjects.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, ensuring compliance with school policies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student success and address any concerns.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers or interns as needed.
• Engage with the school community through extracurricular activities, events, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education or General Education with a middle school teaching specialization
• Valid state teaching certification for middle school science.
• Proven experience teaching middle school science or a related field, preferably in a classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of middle school science curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficient in the use of technology for teaching and learning, including educational software and online resources.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
