About Peace Valley Recovery
Peace Valley Recovery is a licensed outpatient substance use disorder treatment provider offering Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient programming. We deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that meets each client where they are and supports lasting recovery for individuals and their families.
Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed, full-time Therapist with substance use disorder experience to join our clinical team. You will provide individual, group and family therapy to adults in our IOP and Outpatient programs. You will also complete assessments and treatment plans and work closely with the treatment team to guide clients from admission through discharge and aftercare.
Key Responsibilities
Carry a caseload of IOP/Outpatient clients and provide individual, group and family therapy. Use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention and trauma-informed care
Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-based level-of-care determinations
Develop and update individualized, measurable treatment plans
Identify and address co-occurring mental health conditions, and coordinate with our medical provider and outside providers
Lead psychoeducational and process groups on topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation and family systems
Conduct risk assessments and respond to clinical crises following agency protocols
Complete timely, accurate progress notes, treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries in the EHR
Participate in treatment team meetings and support utilization review
Build discharge and aftercare plans, including step-down care, sober living and community referrals
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or a related clinical field
Active, unrestricted LCSW or other independent clinical license (LPC, LMFT or LCADC) in the state of practice
Clinical experience treating substance use disorders (required)
Working knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorders and evidence-based treatment
Strong group facilitation and documentation skills
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an IOP or Outpatient SUD setting
Additional addiction credential (LCADC, CADC)
Experience with EHR documentation and insurance/utilization review
What We Offer
$70,000 – $85,000 salary, based on licensure and experience
Monday – Friday schedule, no weekends
Full benefits package after 90 days
