We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Full-time Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our growing family.
Job Overview
You will play a crucial role in the development and care of toddlers. This position requires a nurturing personality, and the ability to create a warm and engaging environment for our young learners. You will work closely with fellow staff members to ensure that each child's individual needs are met while fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive and loving care to students
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote infant development
Create and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding infant care and early childhood education
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, feedings, diaper changes, and naps
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Assist in the preparation of bottles and infant meals, following strict hygiene protocols
Follow established curriculum guidelines for child development
Promote language development through constant verbal interaction, singing, and reading
Encourage sensory exploration and motor skill development through age-appropriate activities
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma Required.
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a licensed childcare setting
Understanding of child development theories and best practices in infant care
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
Physical ability to lift and carry infants (up to 25 lbs) and to bend, stoop, and sit on the floor
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the center
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
