Full Stack Developer

Location: New Carrollton, Maryland
Work Arrangement: Onsite or remote options may be available, subject to client confirmation and project requirements
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a federal technology program. This position requires strong hands-on experience developing Java based backend services and modern React applications.
Candidates must have an active IRS MBI clearance and current Government Furnished Equipment, or GFE.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed, with at least two years of relevant professional experience
• Active IRS MBI clearance
• Current IRS Government Furnished Equipment, or GFE
• Strong Java development experience, including knowledge of object oriented design principles and Java design patterns
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
• Frontend development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Experience developing responsive web interfaces with HTML and CSS
• Experience designing and developing APIs that support communication between frontend and backend systems
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or OpenShift
• Experience with DevOps and software delivery tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, AppScan, Nexus IQ, GitHub, or GitHub Actions
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with client stakeholders across technical and organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience documenting APIs with Swagger or OpenAPI
• Experience with Node.js or Python
• Previous experience supporting IRS or other federal technology programs
