Functional Analyst – Healthcare Scheduling Systems

Location:Bronx
Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to support healthcare scheduling applications and operational systems in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will provide functional and application support, maintain scheduling platforms, support integrations, and collaborate with technical and operational teams to improve business processes and system performance.

This role requires strong analytical skills, healthcare systems experience, and expertise with scheduling applications, reporting tools, and business process documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support healthcare scheduling applications including Clairvia and related scheduling systems.
  • Run operational and analytical reports to support business functions.
  • Manage user security access and permissions based on approved requests.
  • Perform daily updates and maintenance for web and client applications.
  • Ensure successful daily HR data imports from PeopleSoft.
  • Provide functional support and configuration expertise for Oracle scheduling systems.
  • Support data conversion activities and scheduling system implementations.
  • Participate in testing activities including integration, QA, UAT, and issue resolution.
  • Support integrations involving Epic, PointClickCare, and related healthcare applications.
  • Collaborate with Nursing, Operations, IT, and application support teams.
  • Assist with system downtimes, upgrades, SQL updates, and operational support activities.
  • Analyze and document business and functional requirements.
  • Create technical specifications, workflow diagrams, process documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Support end users through troubleshooting, training, and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare scheduling systems such as Clairvia, UKG, Ansos, or Oracle scheduling applications.
  • Previous scheduling data conversion experience required.
  • Strong SQL knowledge required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience participating in software testing, QA, integration, and issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Scheduling.
  • Experience with Epic, Allscripts, PointClickCare, OnBase, ERP systems, or incident management applications.
  • Healthcare or hospital systems experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
  • Telecommunications or network services knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with New York City healthcare systems preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Telecommunications, Applied Mathematics, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, functional analysis, systems support, or healthcare IT environments.
