We are partnering with a leading automation machinery manufacturing company seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Lead with Logistics specialization to support a large-scale digital transformation initiative.
This role is ideal for a senior SAP professional with strong expertise in Sales & Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE), Warehouse Management, and Transportation, particularly within a discrete manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in shaping the ERP roadmap, driving process standardization, and delivering scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions integrated with third-party systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the Functional Lead for SAP SD with a focus on Logistics Execution and warehouse operations
Drive solution design and process standardization across SD, LE, and integrated supply chain platforms
Support logistics processes including material staging, shipping, transportation, advanced shipping notifications (ASN), and bill of lading outputs
Ensure seamless integration with Finance, Project Systems, Supply Chain, and third-party systems
Lead Agile (SAFe) delivery teams through sprint planning, backlog management, and release execution
Oversee development, testing, and end-to-end validation for complex manufacturing and distribution scenarios
Support integration between SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Manhattan WMS
Drive risk mitigation, cutover planning, and change management activities
Promote scalable solutions while minimizing unnecessary customizations
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of SAP experience in SD, Logistics Execution, Inventory, and Warehouse Management
At least one full end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation in a discrete manufacturing environment
Strong expertise in SAP SD order management, shipping, intercompany flows, and transportation processes
Hands-on experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
Experience integrating SAP with third-party systems (e.g., Manhattan WMS)
Familiarity with integration tools such as SAP PI/PO, CPI, MuleSoft
Knowledge of Variant Configuration (VC) is a plus
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe experience preferred)
U.S. work authorization required (no current or future sponsorship available)
Experience supporting MTS, MTO, CTO, or ETO manufacturing models
Background in automation machinery, capital equipment, or complex manufacturing environments
Leadership experience in enterprise ERP transformation programs
