Fund Accountant

FUND ACCOUNTANT – Charlottesville, Va.

We’re hiring an experienced fund accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and operations of investment portfolios. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll handle monthly closes, reconciliations, and data flow across systems—all with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead monthly/quarterly closes for investment portfolios
• Reconcile transactions, valuations, and capital statements
• Review custodian reports and prepare internal NAV packages
• Ensure data accuracy across accounting and performance systems
• Support audits and tax prep with detailed schedules and documentation

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of fund accounting experience (public or industry)
• Strong understanding of investment portfolio accounting
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track a plus)
• Detail-driven with strong reconciliation skills
• Comfortable with accounting systems and Excel
• Team-first attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
