Our client, a leading and rapidly growing private equity platform, is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. This role will support the accounting and reporting functions across multiple private equity funds and investment vehicles. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex fund structures, portfolio company activity, and institutional investors within a collaborative and growth-oriented organization.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the general ledger for private equity funds, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial recordsPrepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPCalculate and review Net Asset Value (NAV) and partner capital allocationsRecord and reconcile investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and investment activityAssist with waterfall calculations and carried interest allocationsSupport the preparation and review of capital call and distribution noticesCollaborate with internal teams (investments, investor relations, treasury) and external service providers (administrators, auditors)Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests in a timely mannerMonitor cash activity and perform cash reconciliationsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1–4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund accounting, or private equity/alternative investmentsCPA or CPA track strongly preferredStrong understanding of investment accounting and partnership accounting conceptsExperience with private equity, hedge fund, or alternative investment structures preferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting systems such as Investran, Geneva, or similar is a plusExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join This PlatformExposure to a large, institutional-grade private equity environmentOpportunity to work closely with experienced investment and finance professionalsStrong mentorship and career development opportunitiesCompetitive compensation and performance-based bonusComprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, and PTOFlexible/hybrid work environment (depending on location/team structure)CompensationCompetitive base salary (commensurate with experience)#J-18808-Ljbffr
